April 30th marked the official completion of Phase I of construction supported in large part by a grant from the Oklahoma Centennial Commission. The event was marked with a dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting by the Enid Camber of Commerce Ambassadors. Hardy Watkins, Director of Tourism for the State of Oklahoma spoke regarding the importance of the Center to state tourism. Lunch was served on the grounds of Humphrey Heritage Village and tours of the newly completed Administrative Wing and Archive Storage areas were provided. View more photos on the events page.
Construction is well underway with the first phase of construction now complete and the steel outline of the building visible. A beautiful, scenic walkway now connects the upper level of the Administrative Wing with the lower level outdoor event venue, the Plaza, overlooking Government Springs Park.

Volunteers were treated to a special brunch held in their honor during National Volunteer Week. Volunteers serve in a variety of positions, both in daily operations and in governance. If you are interested in becoming a Heritage Center volunteer we would be happy to visit with you. Please contact our office at (580) 234-8999. View more photos on the events page.
