Construction is going very well with the first phase of the project now complete. The first phase including the Administrative Wing, Archive Storage and a restroom to service Humphrey Heritage Village was completed on April 30 with a dedication ceremony. The walls of the basement expansion are up as is the steel outline of the roof. A scenic walkway overlooking Government Springs Park has been added to connect the upper level with the lower level outdoor Plaza. The building is due to be completed by the end of the year. The interior and exhibit galleries will be finished by next summer. We anticipate a grand opening in the summer of 2009. This project has been made possible through the great support of our community and our state. Thank you for your interest and encouragement in this project as we work to tell the story of our heritage and inspire future generations.
