Ways of Giving

The campaign provides a variety of opportunities for individuals, foundations, businesses, public agencies, and civic and service groups to help preserve and share the rich and unique heritage of Northwest Oklahoma.

Tax-deductible campaign contributions may take the form of cash; pledges up to a five-year period; donations of securities, tangible personal property, and real estate; and bequests and other types of planned gifts. In addition, the campaign is setup to accept credit card pledges for Mastercard and Visa.

Commemorative Naming Opportunities

Opportunities are available to name selected features of the Heritage Center. A sampling of open opportunities are the Atrium, Lobby, Gift Shop, Sod House, and outdoor fence pillars and flag poles. For a full listing of available naming opportunities please contact our office at 580.234.8999.

Endowment Opportunities

A key component of the campaign is $1 million in seed money for a growing endowment fund that will ensure that the Heritage Center continues serving its constituency. In addition to income earned from program and membership fees, admissions and operating support from the Oklahoma Historical Society, the income generated by the endowment will help enhance the overall excellence of the Heritage Center activities.

Endowment contributions will be held in perpetuity with only earnings and/or growth used to support the Heritage Center. Dollars may be pooled for investment purposes, but earnings will be used to reflect donors’ wishes. Undesignated funds will be placed used for general operations. The Enid Community Foundation will manage campaign endowment funds.

Donors giving over $10,000 to the campaign in support of the endowment have the opportunity to have a named fund through The Enid Community Foundation. The named fund will be listed in the Foundation’s publications

The Benefactors Society

All individuals making an endowment gift or a planned gift of $15,000 or more as part of the campaign will be recognized as members of the Benefactors Society, a newly established group. The Benefactors Society will be an ongoing organization, and all those who invest in the Heritage Center’s future by making an endowment or planned gift of $15,000 or more will become members of this group. Benefactors Society members will receive special ongoing recognition through future events.
